Beginning with B

Yesterday I saw an Instagram post that commented on how the poster had a real knack for following their heart/gut and putting their ideas into action straight away. How interesting I thought. That is totally unlike me.

Generally, the ideas in my head are formed, obsessed over and then cast off before they can come to fruition. A seed will be planted, I'll nurture it for a little while and then whack! the buds are pruned before they've flowered and the plant shrivels up and dies. If my head was a garden right now, it would be filled with saplings and greenery with stunted growth, weeds running amuck and last year's garden shears rusting in a corner.

I think you get the idea. Blame self-doubt, procrastination, any one of the countless excuses that come to mind when we don't see something through to completion. My "creative" mind is out of practice and I've decided to key this in as an emergency and salvage what's left of it before it deserts me completely.

To the friends and family who have heard me say "I'm starting a blog!" lookee here, this is me starting. To those I know and newcomers alike, Welcome! Welcome to the soon-to-be amalgamation of my thoughts and creative projects, recaps of my gap year and tellings of tales of my adventures both overseas and at home. Over the past year I've been pretty quiet and kept a lot of things to myself. Boy are they ready to be shared!

So starting from today, Bee speaks.
Tomorrow, Bee spoke.
